People would usually prepare the meals for the monks before they went into the pagoda to pray for their ancestors
This pagoda was called "The Lonely Pagoda" in Tinh Bien town - An Giang.
The 4th year Sketching trip took place in An Giang province for nearly 2 months as we were required to paint more and to collect more references. This time I seperated my trip into 2 progresses. The first progress took place in Khanh Binh town - An Giang Province, Vietnam and the second progress was in Vinh Trung town. With the second destination, I had the chance to approach and witness the Sene Dolta Festival of Khmer people in An Giang, a buddhism festival to honor the ancestors. I also learned a lot about their decorative carvings and Buddha Statues in Khmer Pagodas.
